Earn Money Blogging From Home

Are you tired of the daily grind? Do you have what it takes to be your own boss? Do you think life is too short for a full time job? What if you could make money blogging from home? I do and you can too.

Blogging is certainly not a new phenomenon. Anyone who has ever kept a diary or journal can easily set up a web log (blog). Even if you've never done that, blogs have become so simple that anyone can start one. Ah, you say, but how do I go about making any sort of serious coin with my blog? Well, even that's not as difficult as it might seem. The search engines really do want you make money. All you need to know is how to tweak them a little. The whole idea of how to make money blogging from home is to add real value to your readers. If you write good articles, give them eye catching titles, and sprinkle in a few well chosen keywords, the search engines will grab your blog and jet it to the top of their page rankings.

Now, of course, it's easy to say all of that. But there is a little more to it. That's why it's good to have some help. Yes, you could do all the online research about how to set up tags, choose good long-tail keyword phrases and come up with attractive blog themes, all while slogging through all that web geek techno-language. How will you get your articles and posts highly listed in those search engines? While we're at it, how about throwing in automating the whole process just as an added bonus? Once you start making money you can then outsource all your work and have a true passive income from your blog.

This is exactly what I was looking for when I realized there was money to be made with blogs. I knew that if I was going to earn money blogging from home, I needed to get some sort of helping hand, quick start guide. I'm fairly smart but I was also a little impatient to get started. I set out looking for a good step-by-step method of how to tie together all the things I needed to get going. And I found one. And truly, it's made all the difference. I'm not lazy but I like the convenience of using someone else's research, and I didn't mind the small investment to start my online business. I can highly recommend that if you are looking to get a jump start on making money online, find someone who has already done it and copy exactly what they have done.

Blogging Keyword Research

So what is keyword research? It is finding out what are the keywords that web users are typing into the search boxes of the various search engine to get to your website. Some of the top search engines people are using are Google, Yahoo and MSN. After doing keyword research, you will have a list of keywords that web users are using and use them to optimise your blog. One way of finding out is through using web tracker like sitemeter.

There are 2 important tools you can use and they are free to use. One of the tool is by wordtracker called keyword suggestion tool. This tool allows you to find out the number of daily searches of each keyword use by people up to the first 100 keywords. If you want to have more, you will have to sign up for the paid version to get more longtail keywords. Longtail keywords are important in Niche Marketing Research.

Another tool will be Google Keyword Tool External. The advantage of using this tool is that it allows you to see what are the competitive keywords that online advertisers are using. It does not give you the exact number of searches though. This tool also provide you with a list of other keywords that you may not otherwise have thought of.

Besides writing good quality content, you must also make sure that there are people reading it. There is no point in writing content that nobody wants to read. So the concept of demand and supply comes into play. With the right keywords found on your blog, people are able to find your blog as a result.

Social Media Marketing Tips - Blogging

As you already know, social media is an extended conversation with your community or market. Every type of Web 2.0 platform gives you a way to participate in an ongoing conversation. One of the best social media marketing tips I can give you is to get into blogging.

A blog is a way for you to not only participate in a conversation but to initiate one and become a thought leader - or guru, if you will. When you have a blog you are in charge of the content. In a blog post you can write as much as you want and there are no space limitations the way there are if you write for a magazine or a website run by someone else. Readers can leave comments, if you choose. But a blog can be a one-person show if you want and you can keep the comments turned off all the time. Even if you do this you are still part of a conversation because other websites will link to you and comment about your posts on their own blog. People will also bookmark your posts on Stumbleupon and other sites and leave comments there as well. So there is no such thing as blogging in a vacuum. This is a good thing because if you are business owner you certainly don't want to blog in a vacuum.

A blog is another way to develop your persona and build a relationship with your audience, especially if you vary your content and let your personal side show from time to time. It can be difficult to provide a variety of content and most blogger find that after the honeymoon period ends, it's hard to work to post new material on a consistent basis. Depending on your situation, you might want to outsource the task from time to time or invite other bloggers to post guest blog posts.

The best blogging platform if you are using your own web host is Wordpress. It is user friendly and is a one-click install at many web hosts. If you don't have hosting and want to test the waters with a free blog and if you want to make money from the blog with ads or affiliate links, then Blogger is the best platform. Blogger does not have restrictions about ads or links. Also, Google owns Blogger so you don't have to worry about Google slaps. As long as Google owns Blogger, Blogger posts will rank well in the search engines, especially if you use targeted keywords.

Every blog has a blog roll in the sidebar. You use this space to link to your favorite blogs. In return, other blogs will link to you, too, if you build

relationships with them. When you have a blog you should also take time to read other blogs in your community or market and leave comments and send e-mails. Not only does this spread goodwill but your reputation as a thought leader will increase too, along with your profits.

Whether you're interested in blogging just for fun or for business, you should take the plunge now if you haven't already. You'll quickly see how fun having your own little space on the internet can be.

WordPress Blogs made Easy - In Five Simple Steps

Although WordPress is rightfully popular as a blogging platform, many bloggers are wary of installing it because it seems complex. It's not. Discover how you can create your own perfect WordPress blog in five simple steps.

The major benefit of WordPress is that it's a complete Content Management System. No matter how large your blog grows, WordPress will manage it for you. WordPress also has many plugins which will extend the functionality of your blog.

Another huge benefit of installing WordPress on your own domain is that you have complete control over your blog. With free blogging platforms, your blog may be deleted without notice. This is heartbreaking if you've spent time and energy on your blog.

So here we go. Just follow these simple steps:

1. Think keywords and buy a domain name

What will your blog be about? Make a list of keywords which describe your blog. For example, if you wanted to create a blog about dogs, make a list of keywords a person would type into a search engine to find your blog.

"Dogs" would be an obvious keyword; others include "puppies, dog, canine, hound."

Now it's time to buy a domain name. Many hosting companies will include a domain name as part of your hosting package, but find a company which just specializes in domain names. You may want to move your blog at some stage, so the domain name registrar should be separate from your hosting.

Do a search for "domain names", pick a company, and register your domain name.

With your domain name purchased, it's time to get hosting.

2. Get hosting

You can either pick a company you find via searching, ask a friend which company they use, or ask on any forum for favorite hosting companies.

A tip - read your chosen company's Help files before you buy. Look for "WordPress installs". Be sure that your host will install WordPress for you with just a few clicks.

Pick a company, and pay for your hosting. Their Help files will tell you how to update the DNS (Domain Name Service) to your new hosting company.

Once you've updated the DNS, allow 24 hours for the domain name to be updated around the Web. If you try to install WordPress immediately, it may succeed, or it may fail - so give yourself a break of 24 hours.

3. Run the WordPress script - read your hosting provider's Help file

Since WordPress is so popular, most hosts offer scripts which install WordPress. If your host uses CPanel, click the Fantastico icon to install the WordPress script.

Some companies use proprietary scripts, so just do search to find the script, and install it.

4. Choose a theme

With your script installed, you'll arrive at your WordPress Dashboard. Click Design to change the theme.

You can find hundreds of great WordPress themes on the Web, both free and commercial, so you're sure to find exactly the right theme for your blog.

5. Add plugins

You'll also want to install some WordPress plugins. These are scripts which perform functions on your blog. Your blog already has a plugin which will guard it against spam, so activate that plugin.

Other useful plugins are those which will create a contact page for you, create archives, and allow you to backup your blog.

Now all that's left for you to do is to - start blogging!

3 Essential Elements of an Effective Business Blog

After being immersed in the Internet marketing industry for years and experimenting with dozens of different online marketing methods, I have found blogging to be one of the most effective business marketing tools. Not only does a business blog provide a space for fresh, regularly updated content (which search engines love), when done correctly a business blog can establish a loyal group of customers and promoters.

However, I have seen some companies make major flaws with their business blogs. These mistakes cause businesses to waste a great deal of resources on their business blogs with little or no return on investment. There are many factors that make a business blog successful or a flop. In this article, I'll touch on the three of the most critical strategies for building an effective business blog.

Establishing an Overall Mission and Purpose for Your Business Blog

Though this may seem elementary, it's amazing how many business blogs do not seem to have an established purpose! What need is your business blog going to fill for its readers? What topics are you going to cover on your blog? Having a clearly defined written 'purpose' for your business blog will help ensure that your blog content will stay on target and on topic so that you deliver what your readers expect every time.

Many business blogs make the mistake of writing content that is of interest to their peers rather than their target audience. If one of your primary objectives is to sell products, it's important to create a resource that will be of benefit to your target audience.

Consider your business blog like a magazine. When you pick up your favorite magazine from the rack, you have a pretty good idea about what will be in the magazine. People subscribe to magazines only when they have a sense that the content in the magazine will be consistently relative to their interests.

The same goes for a business blog. One of the primary goals of a blog is to establish a large subscription base. This is done by consistently delivering content that is of interest to your readership base. Clearly defining the mission and purpose of your blog provides you with a guideline for creating content that is consistently useful to your readers.

Blog Marketing: Telling Not Selling

Blogs are not the place for a heavy hitting sales pitch. In fact, being too salesy is the fastest way to turn off blog readers. Bloggers don't mind that you are trying to promote something - most are. But heavy-handed sales tactics just don't fly in the blogosphere.

I've worked with some companies that were so worried about not sounding too promotional that they took their business blog to the opposite extreme. Reading their blog, you would have no idea what the company was or what they sold. One didn't even have link back to their website! The key to creating effective business blogs is to find the right balance.

One way that you can introduce your products without being pushy is by choosing a layout that allows you to feature some of your products on every page. A two or three column blog layout works well for this purpose, as does a blog layout with several 'feature' boxes at the top.

Not 'hiding' the fact that you have something to offer helps you to establish your business as an expert in your niche. It's perfectly fine to reference your products in your post in the context of a useful article that tells readers how to accomplish certain goals as opposed to a post that solely push your product. Readers begin to trust your content and learn to like you - and therefore are more likely to buy the products and services you offer.

Finding Your Voice

One of the greatest mistakes a people tend to make when creating a business blog is to write in 'corporatese' as opposed to a more conversational tone. Just like there is a certain accepted writing style for a press release or an editorial article, there is also a particular accepted writing style for blogs.

The most effective and popular business blogs have a personal voice. This scares some businesses and corporations - but it doesn't have to! Select a few key company representatives as the personalities of the business blog. If you're worried about giving people the right to instantly publish content, you can set up a system so that no post goes live without the approval of a single individual whose role is to ensure that the blog remains consistent and professional.

Have each person include their photo in the about page or even in the post with multi-author blogs. Post authors should respond to comments and engage in dialogue with readers in order to build and enhance relationship. Blog marketing is very much 'relationship marketing.' Responding to reader comments and questions is an important duty of a business blog writer or another assigned person within the organization.

Though a blog can be set up in a matter of minutes, there is a lot of planning and strategy that goes into creating a truly effective business blog. Starting you planning session by tackling these three core points is a great way to get your business blog off to an effective start!

How To Sell From Your Blog

If used correctly, blogs can make great platforms to use to sell services, information, or even hard products. The problem is, most internet marketers don't really understand the internet selling process well enough to make their blogs into cash machines. This article will explore the process of how you write to sell and how that affects selling from a blog.

Let's get a few basics out of the way.

A blog is a website where the web pages (called posts) are listed in sequential order down the page. Each post is usually dated, and they are usually categorized in some fashion, with the categories being in a navigation window or bar either on the left-hand side of the blog or the right-hand side of the blog.

There are number of blogging platforms you can use. Google provides one called Blogger. There are also a ton of Web 2.0 platforms--Weebly is one of my favorites. WordPress has a free blogging platform you can use just by registering.

If you want to host your own blog (which you should if you're serious), then WordPress is the current gold standard.

Most people think of blogs like online journals. In fact, there are millions upon millions of blogs out there. Most of these are personal blogs, written by individuals. These blogs mainly talk about the individual's life--what they ate for breakfast, what happened when their dog got run over, that sort of thing.

A few years ago, businesses discovered blogging. Most businesses still haven't a clue about what to do with their blog. They see blogging as a way of communicating on a more informal way with their marketplace. That's okay, I guess, but since I'm basically a direct marketer, I don't like advertising that doesn't create immediate sales.

That's actually what I use blogs for! Immediate sales. Recently, internet marketers like myself have caught on to the fact that blogs make great platforms to sell stuff from.

If you know how.

To understand how to use a blog to sell whatever it is you're selling, you need to understand how the average internet customer buys.

People who end up buying something on the Internet, usually start by searching for information. They have a problem. They search for information to solve that problem. And, lo and behold, there is a solution for their actual problem--all they need to do is pull out the credit card and buy the solution.

That pattern--problem, search for information, find information, find out about a product that will solve their problem, buy the product--is the basic way people buy on the internet.

As internet marketers, we need to understand this process so we can become part of it--and make money.

Where do blogs fit in?

Blogs are great places to write information about a particular problem searchers have. The blog's posts get indexed by Google. The prospect with the problem finds out about the posts through a Google search. He or she reads our stuff, and, following our recommendation, buys whatever it is we're offering.

Blogging Software and Steroids

There is a lot of buzz about blogging software in the news these days, as well as stories about steroids. What do they have to do with one another? We will see in a moment!

Blogs come in three basic types, though there are no rules or standards to follow, just general categories.

Types of blogs

  1. Cat blogs
  2. Community blogs
  3. Business blogs

A cat blog describes the type of blog you might have just because you want to have one. It could be about cats, travel, your family, or anything else that is of interest to you personally. Cat blogs are not intended to make any money, they are like an advanced personal journal.

Community blogs are there to communicate to groups such as teams, schools or businesses. Announcements, schedules or plans can be given to everyone at the same time, which is a lot better than a phone tree! People can check in at work, or from school, or at home at their own convenience.

Business blogs are those that are intended to make money. Often business blogs are used in conjunction with a regular web site as a way of providing fresh, up to date information relevant to the business.

Business blogs can also be a sort of hybrid of a traditional web site and a new media blog. This means that the better blogging software has features that enable the blogger to add advertisements, affiliate links, images, navigation tabs, videos, audio recordings, podcasts, and just about anything else you can imagine.

This is the part about steroids

Imagine if you could have a business blog that was like an athlete on steroids, without the bad side effects! You would be miles ahead of your competition and hopefully more profitable with less effort.

There are numerous steroids you can put your blog on without getting into any black hat trouble. Black hat means underhanded, sneaky methods of trying to trick the search engines into liking your site or blog. It is a futile game of cat and mouse and should be avoided.

Some of the ways you can put your blog on steroids is by efficient search engine optimization of your posts ( just as with a web site), using podcasts, video and encouraging reader participation through comments. The comments are a great way to gather in-bound links from many sources, which will help your blog to gain page rank.

Here is the best part

What if you could automatically send your posts to many reputable blogs and web sites with the click of your mouse? That would get your post out there instantly, people could add it to their RSS feed and add it to their favorite list or send it to their friends.

Imagine how quickly word of your great content would spread through the community of like-minded readers. People who are interested in what you offer would be much more easily connected and very quickly.

My own business blog has provided me with a massive amount of information relative to my interests. I can see what people are interested in, what they read, how long they read it, where they came from and all kinds of useful data. This blog is a good example of how quickly you can get good page ranking and be indexed by Google.

The problem with feeding all those social networks takes a lot of time because you must manually submit each post to every single network. Somebody figured out a way to do this automatically and ethically, and the search engines just love it! Maybe everybody already knows about how this works, but none of my colleagues seem to have any idea.

I have no idea how the blogging software works, but I do know that it works! When I make a post I get a report of where it has been sent. If I check in at Technorati, for example, I can see instantly what is going on with my post.

This seemingly small ability of the blogging software is just like putting a blog on steroids because the performance is dramatically enhanced. Of course, you need to have good content and integrity in your intentions in order to succeed in your online business.

There is no magic bullet or hidden secrets, just a lot of honest, hard work to provide a useful service that meets the needs of people.

As you build your community, the effects just continue to grow and one thing leads to the next. It is well worth your time to investigate this blogging software to put your business on steroids.

Blogging for Writers - Get Writing Jobs, and Increase Your Experience

Blogging is instant publishing, and it's a real boon for writers, once they get their head around what a blog is, and why it's an invaluable writing tool.

Without exception, within a month of starting a blog, every writer I've hounded to create a blog has reported: "I wish I'd started my blog years ago!"

Blogs are immensely powerful. If you're not sure how to get started, use the steps I've outlined for you in this article:

1. Create a small blog

The biggest hurdle writers face in blogging is actually starting. You can spend months - even years, in thinking about blogging. This will not help you. Neither will researching blogging and blogging platforms.

Accept the fact that you're procrastinating because you're nervous, and put that nervous energy into blogging.

Just create a blog - on any platform. A month from now, or a week from now, if you decide you made a mistake, leave the blog and create another one. Proficient blogger-writers have dozens of blogs, for many uses.

I have around ten writing-related blogs, and many other blogs I've created for topics in which I have an interest.

2. Blog every day

You learn blogging by doing it - even if you're not sure whether you're doing it "right." There are no rules in blogging; a blog is your instant publishing tool, use it as you please.

3. Read other bloggers

To get ideas for blogging, read other bloggers. Get a feed/ RSS reader, and create a collection of bloggers who blog in areas in which you're interested.

If another blogger creates a worthy post, blog about that post, and add your own opinions. Blogging has been called a "conversation", and while I think that that's true some of the time, not all blogs are conversations - if you want to turn off comments on a blog, do it. It's always YOUR blog.

4. Create a Google Alert for your name

Now here's where writers begin to appreciate the sheer power of a blog. Create a Google "alert" for your name. You can have alerts sent to you daily via email.

Within a month or so of starting, you'll find that your name is popping up all over online.

5. See who's reading your blog

Create a Google Analytics account, to see who's reading your blog. Not only can you see who's reading, you can see the terms they entered into a search engine to find a particular blog post.

Analyzing your readers is huge fun: you'll be amazed when you see who's reading your words - editors, publishers, and other potential clients you could attract in no other way.

6. Want to attract someone's attention? Blog about them

Let's say you're writing a novel. You think Publisher X would be a good fit for the novel.

Start blogging about Publisher X. Just like you, Publisher X monitors the online world to see who's talking about them... and so someone from Publisher X's publicity and/ or marketing department will check out your blog. You may just get a request for a partial (chapters and outline) of your novel.

Many bloggers have gained publishing contracts via their blog. Others gain commissions and clients.

Blogging will open new worlds and opportunities to you as a writer. If you're not blogging, you're stifling your career. So start blogging: you will be amazed at how powerful blogging is, and what it can do for your career.

Discover the power of blogging for writers with Angela Booth's ebook plus coaching: Writing Success with Blogs at http://angelabooth.com/page11/ebooks.html You'll be amazed at the power of blogging for writers. Make Money Blogging - Imitate your Competitors

If you really want to make big money online in blogging, you got to dare to compete with your competitors. Find out who are your competitors. Do not be afraid that you will lose out to them. Do not listen to what others say that you should not compete with the big boys and just be a small fry, go for niche market. Will you be happy to let those big boys earn all the big money while you just sit back and do nothing? How do you know that you will lose when you have not even compete? If you lose because you have tried, that's another different thing altogether. At least you have tried. Of course you must be wise and plan your strategy well. Do not go in without first analyzing your competitors. All of us are human and we make mistakes. Take advantage of this human weakness that every of your competitors have.

But one of the first step you can do is to imitate them. Look at what they are writing on their blog and try to do it better. Normally I will refer to Problogger as a model to follow. I will take down notes and do things that he tells his reader to do and things that he has missed out. It's a transparent competition out there. If he is using a particular blog design, try to get someone to design the same. If he uses videos on his blog, use it as well because he is using it and it's effective. I believe that is how people improve themselves so get yourself a model to follow today!

Easily Get Free Blog Traffic Without SEO

Did you know that it is possible to get free blog traffic while completely ignoring SEO (search engine optimization). The way to do this is very simple.

All you need to do is generate tightly focused useful and interesting articles and then to trigger off some serious buzz on them, you simply need to post them at specific article directories. Personally I post my highly effective free blog traffic generating promotional articles at only two article directories.

The reason why articles don't work for most people is because they just rush out there and start writing as many articles as they can and then they post them in every article directory they can find. Predictably it does not work and so they sit back to announce to the world that articles don't work.

This is just the same thing as going into the cockpit of a commercial Jumbo jet and then when you fail to get it taxing, let alone fly, you then turn around and say Jumbo jets are too large and therefore they don't fly. It is impossible, they just don't work.

I know it sounds ridiculous, but that is exactly how absurd it is to ever claim that article marketing is not effective. Search engines are hungrily looking for content round the clock and they reward good content with steady traffic for years. Sometimes search engines send millions of visitors daily to a single web page or affiliate web page and they end up making the owner of that page a millionaire overnight. So the naked truth is that articles not only work, they are the most effective marketing tool ever created by man.

Get the step-by-step simple article marketing blog I used to lift one of my blogs to 1.5million hits.

Real Estate Blogging - Further Optimizing Your Online Blog

Blogging these days has livened up the world of real estate. Most property market blogs these days address the importance of local real estate content, and discusses more specific, wide-ranging and more interesting content and stories, and not just give out cold facts or figures.

Blogs Produce Higher Search-Engine Results

It's a fact that it makes all the difference to a real estate Web site to be located on the front page of search engines like Google when a keyword query is performed, both in terms of the traffic it receives and in the amount of leads and business acquired as a result.

In today's Internet marketing realm, search engines hold premium value, as most studies have indicated that up to 70% of all traffic to a particular Web site comes through search engines and that 77% of home shoppers use the Internet during their home search. In order to build an effective Internet marketing strategy, focus on using methodologies and techniques that will attract the attention of search engines, particularly Google.

And though search engines have been around quite a long time already most real estate brokers and agents have yet fully optimizing their Web sites sufficiently in order to be ranked highly in primary search results for major search engines like Google, Yahoo!,MSN and others. A blog is a wonderful tool to produce high search-engine results. Blogging helps property market professionals acquire the most value for money when it comes to search engines.

Blogs Could Serve As Effective Link-Builders

In the Web, a Hyperlink can be a real estate agent's potent weapon for getting better search engine rankings, as the more links you get, the better your site would be . The more relevant the link, the more importance that link has for search engine results. An inbound link from another Web site or blog would symbolize a vote of confidence in your Web site and its content. It's like someone putting up a sign saying "go to this site, it's worth it."

Blogs are viewed by most to naturally generate inbound links, because in the world of blogging, it's the thing to do. You should be aware that today's bloggers are a part of a larger community, and linking to other worthwhile content would be a normal part of participating in the larger "blogosphere." Good-quality content is found by others in the world of blogs and linked to on a regular basis, therefore creating top-quality and interesting content will get you much better inbound links.

Blogs Can Be Keyword-Optimized

Real estate professionals need to take note of the effectiveness that blogs can be, as these can be naturally keyword-optimized to allow for much greater appeal to search engines. Keywords are search terms that Internet surfers use when searching for information or Web sites. For instance, the phrase "real estate" is one of the most frequently-searched term in the industry.

However, its unfortunate that the chances of your site, or even a blog, for getting ranked higher in the search engines are quite remote, as today there is too much competition from firms and agents who have deeper pockets and area spending millions in order get much higher rankings for this general term. You have a substantially better chance of attaining targeted traffic to your Web site by focusing your keywords on more local and much specific geographic areas.

Revenue From Your Blog

Earn with your PC.

Several options are available for earning online or earn from your pc. Among them the main three types are: blogging, ppc ad networks and selling products. But blogging is the best and is a risk free option.

Blogging. After building a blog from any blog account (wordpress, blogger) you can earn using affiliate ad programs. But as a new blogger it's tough to get fast revenue. According to me the top 5 affiliate programs for new bloggers are:

Adbrite

link share

pay per post

ad toll

AdSense (works if you are a good marketer)

bidvertiser

New bloggers should try these ad campaigns & select the appropriate earning option for them. Using ppp (pay per play) ads on your blog works great and the main advantage is you will get paid for every visitor. However, I have not used it because someone says it may reduce traffic.

For ppp you need to register for www.Eaudioads.Com or you can use banner ads at money4banners.Com - it is a good site. You need to show their banners only. No cpm and it does not depends upon traffic. They will pay you $10 every month just for showing their banners.

Audio ads are the perfect because you will get paid from every visitor of your site. Although they pays a little but there is no ppc type of ads. Start earning from every type of traffic. I am using this ad system for a week to test. Check it out. Visit other money making sites also like widget bucks. They pay you well if you have some product reviews on your site.

So, try and earn money from your pc.

Why is blog management important? Indeed, what do I mean by blog management? Well, I like to look upon blogs as living, organic entities, i.e. your blog will grow over time (with new blog posts), will reach out to other blogs and websites over the internet (incoming and outgoing links) and the structure of the blog itself will change over any given period.

The most important factor, however, is blog growth. If you don't add content to your blog regularly, it will stand still, and the search engines will eventually stop crawling your blog for fresh content. Your blog will, in effect, die!! This theory may not hold true in the case of well-established blogs, but if you're just starting out with your blog-baby growth is the key.

It's therefore imperative that you 'feed' your blog with fresh content on a regular basis. I don't think there's an optimum amount of times per day / week / month that you should add content to your blog, but as a general rule, I'd say the more the merrier! I try to create a new post for my blog 5 or 6 times a week, and by doing this I'm giving the search engines plenty of 'food' to gorge on. If a search engine's spiders come crawling and keep on finding fresh content on my blog, then those spiders are gonna keep coming back for more!

So my blog management (in the main) consists of publishing new posts 5 or 6 times a week. I set aside 2 or 3 hours after I finish work to create new blog posts. I will usually take the weekend off, but if I'm feeling the urge to post something new, I'll go right on ahead and do it. If your blog is still in its infancy, this is crucial to its success, as you want the search engines to know, right from the start, that your blog is growing day after day. By allocating time to your blog on a regular basis, you'll have a great chance of blog success!

Creative Content - The Best Blog Promotion Strategy

The online marketing arena is a very competitive one, you will often find yourself competing against hundreds of thousands if not millions of sites which are trying to promote a certain idea which falls within your niche, in order to set yourself apart from the ever growing sea of blogs and spam blogs you have to come up with unique, original and creative content, there is no two ways about it.

When we talk about original content there are two concepts that come to mind immediately, your understanding of the word creative and original may differ if you have a search engine optimization or Internet marketing background, if this is a case then you obviously be thinking about original content for search engines, this is usually the mistake that most Internet marketers make, they focus on creating content that will seem original to Google and many other search engines however, tricking the search engines into believing that your site is completely unique will not do you any good if your visitors coming to your site once, spend a few seconds and then bounce back to the page they came from.

Retaining your visitors is just as important as bringing them to your site in the first place, I say this because there is an increasing number of webmasters who specially focus on grabbing someone else's content and then spinning them in order to create what they think to be original content for the search engines.

When someone grabs spins an article the keywords that make it have sense art lost in the replacement, as a result the final excerpt will make no sense at all when read by a human, search engines spiders don't yet have the capability of associating one word with another or a group of sentences in order to determine whether or not a paragraph makes sense however, as the semantic web unfolds and grows into a more intelligent stage these content spamming methods will become obsolete.

So we go back to square one, what is the best method to promote your content? -- I am sure you have heard this hundreds if not thousands of times, then go ahead and remind you one more time: "content is king" -- content refers to text, images, audio, video files an interactive material which you may embed and show visitors who come to your site, as you see he doesn't only involve text which is what most people think when they were content comes in to play. Creating good materials and a good web design will help you go a long way when promoting your newly created blog.

Blogging For Dollars

So what's the big deal about a blog anyway? Blogs have become a hot buzzword and have managed to become the most popular tool for adding Web 2.0 features to your website. If you don't have a blog then you are missing out. Blogs help you attract repeat visitors, demonstrate your expert knowledge, build huge credibility, and sell products.

A blog is simply a technology for adding an article to your website and allowing site visitors to add their own comments to your article. Allowing comments is not mandatory, but is a great idea for building loyal visitors. Blogs are easy to use, integrate into your website nicely, and can make a huge difference in the effectiveness of your website.

Getting started is fairly easy. You'll need to choose a blog tool. We recommend Word Press. There are other tools and you'll have to decide whether to install on your own site or use their site. My advice is to install their software on your own site. If it isn't your own domain name then it's bad for business.

Setup is a breeze. Posting articles is a breeze. You'll have that going in no time. Don't even worry about getting setup and running. These are minor technical details and any decent web savvy geek can get you over that hump quickly.

What matters most are: (a) promoting your blog, (b) keeping it interesting, and (c) monetizing it. Promoting your blog is done the same way that promoting any website is done. Invite people to come visit, solicit friends to help you build it up by commenting on articles, mention it in your newsletter, and so on. Just keeping putting the word out there and make sure your articles are real contributions to the community and not some uninteresting babble.

Monetizing is done in three ways. You can place ads on your website, such as inserting Google AdSense ads. You can advertise your own products and services with banner ads. You can also place affiliate links on your blog encouraging them to buy other products and services that pay you a commission.

Blogs are easy to start but take a little time and practice to master. You'll be adding and changing things over time. The end result could be amazing. I've heard stories of people selling their established blogs for significant money. Who knows, maybe someone will offer give you an offer you can't refuse. So what are you waiting for? Build your blog today, invite your friends to help you get it established, and you will have a fan club before you know it.

Choosing Photoblog Themes or Templates

Whichever blog application you use, please make an extensive search of themes and templates until you are satisfied that you have chosen the right one. You DO NOT want to change it later as you will be adding code and scripts as you go by. You will have to re-insert all these codes if you change themes or templates, which is an arduous task.

I learnt it the hard way with my pixelpost template for my photoblog. There are certain html codes that were inserted for some add-ons. To change the template, I now have to remember which add-ons needed codes, find the installation documents for them online and re-insert the codes to get it back to full functionality. Think about moving from house to house every week (or however often you change themes/templates) and having to change each house to look exactly like the previous one. The home improvement guys would have to come in and tear down everything in order to make it look exactly like the previous house. That's exactly what it is like to make these changes to themes or templates, especially after you've inserted some amount of add-ons to customize your site.

Spend your time using the search engines for your themes and templates. There are literally thousands of free ones online or you may be able to write your own. Here is a guide:

1)Colors - it is recommended to use either white black or grey as the main color and as few of other colors as possible.

2) Style - you want the photos to be the star so make it as simple as you can.

3) Number of Columns- depends on the type of blog. If it is going to have widgets, you may start thinking 2 or 3 columns.

4) Attractiveness- has to be attractive to pull viewers.

5) Sidebar/Widget ready- not all themes can take widgets.

6) Make sure it works well for its intended use- If you are going to write a lot of text, don't choose a dedicated photoblog application such as pixelpost, sylverblog or atom photoblog. Instead, choose a blog application that can easily be converted to photoblog use such as WordPress, Drupal or Joomla. I highly recommended WordPress, not because it's the one I use, but because I have tried all three and several more. However, If you are going to run a community based, text heavy photoblog, then Drupal is the choice. It is perfect for community sites.

7) If you would like a specific type- eg. A tech theme, personal website theme or a simple template.

8) Make sure it is ad ready if you intend to place ads in the future.

9) Size (how quickly it takes to load)

10) If the size pictures you use can fit on the pages without cropping the image - This is very important, there are some themes that cut off a piece of your medium sized photo because the sidebar is too wide.

It may take some time to choose, but in the meantime, you may write content and save it or upload photos until you feel you have the right theme or template. You can then publish the accumulated material and you have a website with lots of content to start with!

How To Make Money Using Web 2.0

For every change that arises in the ever changing Internet environment, the internet-marketing community always finds a way to make money from it. Web 2.0 is no exception. In fact, experts say that the greatest money making schemes on the web are in Web 2.0. Since its introduction in 2004, venture capitalists have been putting billions of dollars into Web 2.0, and you can cash in. One of these Web 2.0 make money resources is blogging.

Making money with blogs: the importance of page rank

One great way to make money on Web 2.0 is to create a blog and then use it for placing ads. Blogs have the great advantage that they are quickly indexed by search engines and in this way is relatively easy to draw organic traffic to your blog. But first we need to build Page Rank to our blog. Google page rank (PR) is important to making money using Web 2.0. When it comes to advertising, the page rank on your blog is very important to attract advertisers. The Page Rank is a number from 0 to 10 that basically ranks the content and connectivity of your blog. The higher the page rank, the more relevant is your site. Page Rank is a service of Google.

When you want to make money with your blog, the first and most important thing you need to do is work to improve your page rank. Otherwise, your attempts to make money quickly may render hopeless. In order to get a higher page rank, you need to link to other relevant and high traffic websites, and request that they link back to you. And of course, they will only want to link back to you if it suits their own interests, so you need to make sure that the content on your blog is useful and that you consistently update it. This is certainly an enduring task; therefore, the majority of new blogs are abandoned after few days.

The best websites aren't interested in linking to random blogs that are not much more than a rant or a diary. But if you can speak intelligently about a topic, create a blog about it and go for it! But since you want to make money out of your blogging efforts, you need to choose a topic for your blog that will attract a broad audience and has a defined objective.

You need to get a large base of visitors with a broad demographical scope. Once you do, advertisers will want to market their products on your blog because they know that everyone will be seeing it. Alternatively, you can write about a more specific topic, then target advertisers related to that topic-this is a more risky way to make money, but it can still work, as you will probably face less competition. If you have the time and you're relatively proficient at typing, I would suggest to try both!

Furthermore, Page Rank is important to your credibility in the blogosphere. Page Rank is like your ebay rating. Specifically, if you don't have a high PR, readers may never even see your site, much less stop to read it. You need to realize that there are millions of blogs out there. Lots of people have more than one blog these days and, as the blogosphere gets bigger and bigger, it may become more and more difficult to gain exposure for your site. That's why it's important to start working on your page rank, by racking up high traffic links from relevant sites as soon as you can and continue to do this throughout the lifetime of your blog, because if other sites to which you are linked go dead, it will be reflected as a lower page rank for you.

In conclusion, it is possible to make money with blogs, but it requires 1) a continued effort to build back links to increase page rank by integrating your blog into the enormous network that is the world wide web and 2) to provide useful, relevant and updated content. This second factor in turn will help to increase your page rank, because you will get more easily websites to link back to you because of your content. Getting high page rank blogs will make you money, because advertisers want their ads to be on blogs that get noticed. Having a high traffic blog is like having a well oiled money making machine, because you not only can sell advertisements, but you can advertise your own or affiliated products. But please, do realize that a profitable blog can only be built with time and dedication.

Another source of money using Web 2.0 is using the social bookmarking and social networking sites to promote your products, but that will be discussed in another article.

Marketing Tool for Blogging

Making money through blogging are what bloggers are focusing on across numerous revenue streams. Hence, more and more bloggers are learning how to use blogging as a marketing tool. Therefore, I will like to share with you three of the key ways to use blogging as a marketing tool.

• Through Traffics

Firstly, traffics help to convert prospects to buyers, and track them. Thus, it is necessary for you to know why you want to increase/add traffic to your site as traffic itself means nothing.

Secondly, the most effective way to increasing free traffic to your website and having a high ranking on the search engines sites will be having as many links as possible from your sites or blogs. Moreover, search engines provide good blogs with high ranking for the subjects they mention about. Therefore, it is more advisable if you can link more specifically from blogs.

Lastly, there are also other good methods in promoting your site and gain more traffics. This can be through writing articles and submitting them to article directories where you can edit your blog posts and change it into article version. Another alternative way will be submitting your post to RSS Feed where these ways will be able to help in increasing traffics.

• Great Content

Having good content is essential as great content are normally better than any ad. Nowadays, people are not interested on reading ads. However, if your website is there but without good content and sits there doing nothing, readers will surely not want to visit to your sites and will leave your blog. Therefore, it is important to have a good content which will be able to attract readers and makes them stay in your blog longer and visit regularly.

Firstly, to have a good content, you will need to select a topic that you are going to talk about and ensures that your content are unique and useful to readers where this will leads to a more successful blog.

Next, you must be wondering how people know whether which is a good content. Readers will be quickly discerned if the topics are not passionate enough to attract them. Some main questions you have to ask yourself will be whether the topic is popular; is my competitors have a better content than me and etc. You are not advisable to go for the most popular topics unless you are able to know what you are facing.

Lastly, these are some suggestion web you can check out for your topic. These include Yahoo and Google News, Blog Pulse and Technorati blog search.

• Types of Streams

Donations and text links ads may be one of the streams for bloggers. If your content is free and attractive, you can give your visitors a means to voluntarily contribute if they wish to. In addition, donations can be a good stream of income.

Another alternative way is through advertising programs which enable you to make money from your blog. You can make money through Google AdSense where you can place Google ads on your blog. As such, when some one clicks on the ads on your blog, you will get paid. This is also known as paid per click.

In addition, if you would like to earn a fixed amount per month through your blog, you can place text link ads by linking some links in your site with their products.
