If you really want to make big money online in blogging, you got to dare to compete with your competitors. Find out who are your competitors. Do not be afraid that you will lose out to them. Do not listen to what others say that you should not compete with the big boys and just be a small fry, go for niche market. Will you be happy to let those big boys earn all the big money while you just sit back and do nothing? How do you know that you will lose when you have not even compete? If you lose because you have tried, that's another different thing altogether. At least you have tried. Of course you must be wise and plan your strategy well. Do not go in without first analyzing your competitors. All of us are human and we make mistakes. Take advantage of this human weakness that every of your competitors have.
But one of the first step you can do is to imitate them. Look at what they are writing on their blog and try to do it better. Normally I will refer to Problogger as a model to follow. I will take down notes and do things that he tells his reader to do and things that he has missed out. It's a transparent competition out there. If he is using a particular blog design, try to get someone to design the same. If he uses videos on his blog, use it as well because he is using it and it's effective. I believe that is how people improve themselves so get yourself a model to follow today!
