New Trends In Search Engine Optimization

Search Engine Optimization seems to be getting tougher and tougher as more and more websites are coming up and competing in their niche areas. Search Engines are trying their hard to make sure that only best can get good rankings and that's why they are keep on changing their algorithms at regular intervals. This was not the scenario before and people would hardly update themselves about so called search engine algorithms.

The trend has changed a lot and now only best can survive in this competitive web race called Internet Marketing. Meta tags specially keyword meta tag is now obsolete but still people use them to get that extra edge. Search engines are now focusing themselves more on content and relevancy and it should not be funny to say that now content is King and relevancy is Queen and web masters have to make sure that they are happily married, yeah you are right I am talking about content and relevancy.

Search Engines have realized that people are actually looking for quality content and so is true about search engines for providing only relevant and quality content to the visitors and that's actually is their USP i.e better relevancy and accurate results. So if you are looking to promote or optimize your website in order to get top rankings in search engines and quality traffic to your website you have to keep in mind the three important factor i.e Content, Relevancy and Popularity.

Chose your content accurately and make sure it says about your site or products you want to promote, never ever copy content from other sources, bear in mind that Google is very strict about it and it can degrade your rankings or even ban you if you are using duplicate content. Remember that you should write content for your visitors and not for search engines for merely getting rankings. Sometime what happens that you get rankings but you can't get those visitors you are looking for.

Next comes relevancy which is very important factor in the eyes of search engines. Your content should be relevant to the title of your page and says exactly what have written in the title of your pages. So make sure every page have unique titles and relevant content respective to those titles. When registering your domain you should try to name a domain which actually reflect your business or website, it would give boost to relevancy factor.

How popular is your website i.e in simple words how many other website knows that you exist? You have to make sure that you get quality links from other websites which must be relevant to your own website. Before doing that you should check your internal linking structure so that each page knows about other pages of your website and lastly keep on updating your content to remain present in the eyes of search engines.
